What is the Lifeline Program?

The Lifeline program is a federal assistance program that provides discounted phone and internet services to eligible low-income consumers. Established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Lifeline helps ensure that all Americans have access to essential telecommunications services.

Some participating providers also offer free tablets to qualifying households as part of their Lifeline service packages. This makes the program even more valuable for families who need both connectivity and devices.
